Park Holidays: CGI Visualisations
The majority of my projects at The Works have consisted of creating CGI visualisations for Park Holidays. These new developments are all in the process of being built so these visuals are designed to promote the new areas as early as possible.
There are quite a few challenges with scenes like these. Firstly, there is often little reference for these developments beyond architectural plans. I tend to gather reference from as many sources as possible (such as Google Earth or Trip Advisor) to better inform the final image. I also import geographical data that matches the real-world terrain of these locations.
Secondly, the foliage elements in these scenes add a great deal to their photorealism. I have learnt how to use Blender's Geonodes system very effectively to achieve these effects by scattering instances of models across selected areas. The models to be instanced are from Quixel's asset library which is a brilliant resource.
The ideal result for these visuals is to accurately represent the holiday park itself whilst capturing the inherent appeal of their environment.
